Weighing 500 grams, this robot is a milestone in understanding the unique movement of bird flight. In 2011, engineers developed a powerful model of an artificial bird that is ultra-lightweight and able to take off, fly and land autonomously. The objective of this development was to achieve maximum and efficient use of resources and energy consumption for automation technology. Image: Festo
