The Ural owl can be found in Europe and Asia. Its average wingspan is 1.30 metres; females are larger than males, and they usually weigh up to 1.3 kilograms. Strix uralensis hunts rodents and small hare. These nocturnal creature has a distinct hooting call that is used when defending their territory.
