Japanese macaque

Picture 3 of 7

Macaca fuscata, commonly known as snow monkey, is well adapted to cold: its fur thickness allows it to cope with temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. Their packs usually have 40 individuals, who eat a great variety of foods, including 213 species of plants, insects and soil. Image: Shutterstock
