A radiographer’s view of animals

This is an x-ray of a baboon mummy now located in the Museum of Antiquities in Germany. Between 1999-2003 all 73 animal mummies (including cats, snakes, fish, crocodiles and a baboon [above]) in the museum were x-rayed and the scans were put on display in a special interactive exhibition, which allowed visitors to look inside each mummy by simply pushing a button.
