2019 ANZ SCOPUS Research Awards – Applications open until Oct 31

Scopus

The Scopus Researcher Awards recognise outstanding researchers in Australia and New Zealand who have made significant contributions to their fields and areas of research.

The winner for each category receives $1000 cash prize, a plaque and an invitation to an award ceremony at University of New South Wales on Tuesday, 19th November 2019 – which is pretty fast work by the judges given that applications close Thursday, 31 October, 19:00 AEST.

The awards are part of a global initiative by science and health information analytics company Elsevier “to advance the frontiers of science across a broad range of disciplines”.

It also aims to promote Elsevier’s Scopus abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature in scientific journals, books and conference proceedings, www.scopus.com, as “The activity entered may be for a single project or a body of work and must have been published in one or more respected, externally-refereed scientific journal(s), books or equivalent electronic publication(s) and the publication must be found in Scopus.”

In each category, the judges will be looking for individuals who have carried out high quality, rigorous research that has had a significant impact.

The three award categories are:

Excellence in Research Impacting a Sustainable Future
Excellence in Research Impacting Global Health
Excellence in Outstanding Early Career Research
